The Greater Accra Regional Hospital has received a donation of medical devices from the United States Government’s Integrated Health Partnership Activity, implemented by Project HOPE, to support healthcare delivery at the facility.

The donation was presented by a Project HOPE delegation led by its Chief of Party, Afua Aggrey, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare systems and improve patient care in Ghana.

According to the hospital, the medical devices were selected to support clinical operations and enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to patients across the Greater Accra Region and beyond.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Leslie Issa Adams-Zakariah, expressed appreciation to the United States Government and Project HOPE for their continued support to Ghana’s health sector.

He said the donation reflects a shared commitment to improving healthcare systems and ensuring that patients receive timely and effective medical care.

Hospital management noted that the equipment will help improve service delivery and strengthen the hospital’s capacity to provide safe and patient-centred healthcare.

The hospital also assured that the donated equipment would be properly maintained and utilised to maximise its benefits for patients.

The partnership between the United States Government’s Integrated Health Partnership Activity and Project HOPE forms part of broader efforts to build resilient healthcare systems and support frontline health workers with essential medical tools.
