Star Oil donates operating table to Korle Bu Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre

 The Chief Executive Officer of Star Oil Ghana, Philip Tieku, together with his management team, has donated an operating table to support improved healthcare delivery at the National Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre (NRPS&BC) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The donation was made during a sod-cutting ceremony held at the NRPS&BC on Tuesday, January 20.

Speaking at the event, Tieku said the donation forms part of Star Oil Ghana’s strategic commitment to building strong partnerships and supporting institutions that play a critical role in service delivery, particularly within the healthcare sector.

He noted that Korle Bu Teaching Hospital remains a leading centre for healthcare delivery in Ghana and assured that the company would continue to prioritise support for the Hospital.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Hospital, the Chief Executive Officer of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam, together with members of the Central Management Team and the Head of the NRPS&BC, Dr. Edem Anyigba, expressed appreciation to Star Oil Ghana for the gesture.

In his remarks, Dr. Adam thanked Star Oil Ghana for the donation and reaffirmed the Hospital’s commitment to delivering quality and specialised healthcare services.

He noted that contributions from corporate partners play a significant role in advancing the Hospital’s mandate and improving patient care.

The Director of the Centre, Dr. Edem Anyigba, also welcomed the donation, describing it as timely and impactful.

He said the new operating table would help ease operational challenges at the NRPS&BC and enhance the Centre’s capacity to deliver specialised surgical care.
